We will hike the 2-mile loop trail around Lake Benoist and have a picnic lunch in the redwood grove near the parking lot. This is a very diverse park with mature riparian forest, redwood forest and 2 lakes and the Russian River.  This is a very good area for a wide variety of forest birds.  Please bring your own snacks, water, lunch, binoculars, field guides, layered clothing, comfortable shoes and water.
