Ellis Creek is one of the best birding hotspots in central Sonoma County, where many rare birds have been documented over the years. We will be led by Craig Roth, who has participated in the Petaluma Wetland’s surveys to this spot for many years. Expect water fowl and shore birds. Least Bittern were seen here this year, though they have probably gone into hiding by now. Meet in the parking lot off Cypress Drive, Petaluma (38.2268466, -122.5850014) at 8:00AM. For more information or to RSVP, contact Malcolm Blanchard (707) 480-2210.
