Ruth Rudesill has offered to lead a trip to Capay in Yolo County to see the Lesser Nighthawks that are collecting there. These Nighthawks are not to be confused with Common Nighthawk which are found in the Sierras and most of North America. This Nighthawk is uncommon in most of North America. The Central Valley is the northern-most extent of the range of this Central and South American bird. We’ll be converging on Capay around 7:00 PM. The details of this trip are still being worked out.
