Redwood Region Ornithological Society founded the Santa Rosa Christmas Bird Count Circle in the early 1960s and it has been going strong ever since. The YAMS have a territory in west Santa Rosa. We meet at the Santa Rosa Management Association parking lot at 35 Stony Point Rd, Santa Rosa. Detailed directions will be provided closer to the date of the Christmas Bird Count. There will likely be a compilation dinner with the other teams and participants that evening where bird totals will be tallied and stories will be told. Details will follow as the time nears. Please bring your own snacks, water, lunch, binoculars, field guides, layered clothing, comfortable shoes and water.
